Arnold Beck Construction Inc. Voted # 1 Home Builder

We are thrilled to announce that through the Elko Daily Free Press 2011 reader's choice awards, we have been voted the # 1 home builder in Northern Nevada. Free Upgrades

From time to time we (the management of Arnold Beck Construction, Inc.) sit down to discuss what we can do to make our homes more appealing. The questions that always come up are: What do people really want in a home, and how can we bring it to them without raising prices? Within the past year, we have managed to add some great new features to our homes which are extremely aesthetically appealing and most importantly add to the value of our homes and not the price tag. So what exactly are these upgrades?...

3-Tone Stucco Exteriors: Until recently our standard exterior finish was vinyl siding. We are now offering stucco as our standard finish on the front of our homes without raising the price of the home. The stucco we use is of the highest quality- it’s flexible, durable, has a very upscale look, and allows for almost limitless color combinations and designs.

9-Foot Vaulted Ceilings: Most homes are built with 8-foot ceilings. We recently began adding the extra foot to some of our models, (the Hawthorne, Mesquite, and Zephyr) and the results have been spectacular. Our floor plans generally have the kitchen, dining room, and living room opened up to each other to give our homes a larger feel, while at the same time allowing the family to better interact from different rooms. The new 9-foot ceilings have truly complimented our open living area designs in adding a more spacious and luxurious look.

Bathroom Detail: We take great pride in the level of detail and the quality craftsmanship that goes into our homes. We have recently added to this in a couple areas. In most homes we have upgraded the hardware package that goes into our bathrooms- that is the towel bars, shower rods, and mirrors. We have gone from a standard chrome finish to a rustic rubbed bronze look. We have also added a matching heavy border to the bathroom mirrors. On top of this we have added a second sink as standard in the master bathroom. Coupled with the granite or corian tops and slate backsplash, this upgraded hardware package looks extremely classy.

Lot Development in Hamilton Stage

If you have recently driven through Hamilton Stage Sub Division, you may have noticed the road has been extended past our existing homes and stakes and flags have been placed throughout the area. You guessed it- the land is being zoned, new roads, power and gas lines are going in, and new lots are available for homes to be built on.  We also have several spec homes finished and move-in-ready.  Be sure to check out the Hamilton Stage link to view information on available building lots and homes for sale.

 

$3,500 In Closing Costs and $1,000 Home Depot Gift Card

Great news for you! Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. is offering to pay $3,500 in closing costs or upgrades with every one of it's homes Built in Spring Creek.  We are also throwing in a $1,000 Home Depot gift card to help with home improvements such as blinds, landscaping, etc. The gift card is offereed on homes built both in Spring Creek and Hamilton Stage. A contract must be signed and accepted by April 30, 2012 to qualify. $3,500 must be written in the original sales contract.

Q & A

Q: Does Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. do remodeling work?
A: At this time no; just new construction and some additions.

Q: Do you build homes in Elko?
A: Yes

Q: Do I need to find financing for the construction of my home?
A: No. We offer complete turnkey construction, and take care of all financing.

Q: How are upgrades and customizations paid for?
A: It depends: The cost of some upgrades can be put into the home loan, but some upgrades don’t cause the home appraisal to go up, so the lender will not cover it in the loan. If this is the case, we require payment on these items up front.

Q: Can I do any of the work on my home during construction to bring down the final sales price?
A: As much as we would love to let you jump right into it, the answer is no. We have to run an extremely tight schedule in order to finish our homes in an average of 55 days. We rely on an exceptionally efficient and skilled crew to meet our deadlines.

Q: Can I pick out my own building lot?
A: Yes. At any given time we have a fairly wide selection of available lots to choose from. We can also build on a lot that you own. You also have the option to pick out any building lot in Spring Creek available for sale, however the time it takes to purchase a lot can often be unpredictable, ranging from several weeks to several months. Our lot allowance for our homes is $20,000 ($15,000 for the Lamoille). The buyer pays the difference for anything above this limit. If you own the lot, we would credit you $20,000 towards the sales price of the home.

Q: Do you provide a warranty on your homes?
A: Yes. We have a one year warranty covering construction defects. There is also a 1 year warranty on appliances through Sears.

Q: How energy efficient are your homes?
A: Extremely. We do our own insulation work on each of our houses including the blow in insulation in the attic. We realize that the attic insulation can settle overtime, so we go the extra mile by blowing it in significantly deeper than R-49 as required by code.

Q: Do you do landscaping?
A: We will do a final grading to your yard to flatten it out to the point that it’s nearly ready to have grass planted. If your house is built during Winter of Spring, the ground can be very difficult to work with, in which case we will return to do the final grading when the ground dries out.
