ENERGY EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION
Monthly energy costs can be terribly high if a home does not hold the warm or cool air within. We are EXTREMELY meticulous when it comes to insulating. To ensure the highest quality, we perform and inspect all of our own insulation work. We ensure that our blow in insulation in the attic exceeds building code by at least two in inches. Many of the appliances used in Beck-built homes are Energy Star certified which can cut a monthly bill by up to 30 percent.
YOUR NEW HOME… FULLY LOADED
We build our homes as if we were going to live in them ourselves. That being said we never skimp or hold out on the little features that modernize your home and simply make everyday living just a little more convenient. To name a few, we add tons of electrical outlets- Usually eight in every bedroom. Our kitchens come equipped with a garbage disposal and a faucet complete with hose and spraying capability. We include a stainless steel refrigerator with ice and water dispensers. Cable and phone outlets are found in all bedrooms in addition to the living room. We run all coax TV cables to a centralized box inconspicuously installed in the wall of your home eliminating the need to drill holes in walls and run wires along ceilings or baseboards if satellite TV service is installed. This also functions as a great spot for a wireless access point for computers. Frost free water spigots, electrical outlets, and garage entry keypads can be found on home exteriors. All of these features come standard with each new Beck-built home.

If you are considering buying a new home, take the time to compare the quality of our homes with that of the competition, and you will be amazed by the difference. You will see how the 20 inch floor tiles line up neatly, and how the doors close smoothly and free of rubbing the frame. You'll notice how solidly the custom cabinetry is built and how the extremely well prepped, three-tone final paint job is free of rough edges, unfilled cracks, and nail holes. As much as possible we keep our trades in house rather than sub contracting them out, allowing us to directly oversee every step of the construction process and ensure that it meets our quality standards. Excavation, foundations, flatwork, framing, roofing, insulation, stucco, siding, tilesetting, trim work, carpet laying, and painting are some of the many trades that our highly skilled crew performs in-house. MAINTANENCE FREE MATERIALS
Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. understands that you have better things to do with your time and money than replacing, refinishing, and repainting. We are firm believers in using durable and maintenance free building materials. We use granite in place of laminate tops, porcelain tiles in place of linoleum, and quality latex paint over watered down bargain brand. Close attention is paid to our homes' exteriors where they are constantly exposed to Northern Nevada's harsh wind and extreme temperature fluctuations. We use 30-year architectural shingles on our roofs, and wrap the eves with aluminum soffit and fascia rather than take the cheaper approach of simply painting the bare, exposed wood which will inevitably peel. We use the highest quality synthetic exterior stucco which is flexible and durable. It is a color dyed product and never painted. Weather proof vinyl siding and sometimes stone veneer is also used on our home exteriors. Our front doors have the appearance of beautifully crafted wood, but are in fact made from fiberglass as to prevent contraction and expansion. Gravel driveways have an eight-inch base of pit run to prevent mud and vegetation from creeping up from underneath. Our zero maintenance slab on grade construction in place of a damp crawl space eliminates the need of exposed floor joists which act like a sponge in soaking up moisture. With our use of the highest quality building materials, you can count on your Beck-built home to be one of the longest lasting and most maintenance free homes in Northern Nevada.
SLAB ON GRADE - A SOLID FOUNDATION
An alternative to the more traditional crawl space foundation, a slab on grade foundation consists of a concrete slab poured directly over highly compacted earth surrounded well insulated foundation walls and footings. The slab is an excellent conductor which holds the heat or cool of the inside home temperature. Duct work is run through the attic and heat vents are in the ceiling rather than the floor. This makes no difference in energy efficiency- hot or cold air blowing into a room is just that, regardless of location. Admittedly, there is a much higher learning curve to slab on grade construction causing most builders to shy away from it. However, this method of building does come with its share of advantages. To name a few, the floor of the home is closer to grade, meaning no stairs leading up to the front door. Slab on grade is also typically more cost effective, meaning we can pass the savings on to our buyers through closing costs and lower prices. Some of the hassles you will not have to worry about with slab on grade is having a cramped, smelly, spider infested, damp, empty space under your floor, which is prone to flooding, mold, and burrowing animals such as mice and skunks. A slab is also maintenance free, eliminating the trouble of winterize a crawl space. Many other builders and homeowners consider slab on grade to be the more preferable approach. Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. strongly agrees with this and has now constructed over 200 outstanding slab on grade homes.
UNRIVALED 10 YEAR WARRANTY
Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. stands behind its homes by providing the best home warranty offered by any builder. Unlike many other builders' warranties, our warranty is kept in house, rather than managed by a third party insurer who can contract with whoever they choose to oversee repairs. This means that in the rare event that a problem arises which requires warranty work, your home will be serviced by one or more professional and competent Beck-built home specialists who know our homes inside and out, rather than a contractor to a third party insurer who may or may not be the best qualified to handle the job. These third party insurers may also charge a high deductible for any warranty work- Something that Arnold Beck Construction, Inc. will never do. Our warranty is simple- All workmanship and materials are covered during the first year. Electrical wiring, pipes, and duct work is covered for the first two years. Although never seen on a Beck-built home, structural failures of foundations, walls, and roofs are covered for a full ten years. Any remaining portion of the warranty is transferable if the home is sold, adding lasting value to your Beck-built home. Our willingness to provide a 10 year warranty and keep it in house underscores our commitment to ensuring the very best service to our buyers and demonstrates our confidence in the lasting quality of our own product.
